My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet shy girl wandered up in my yard in the most recent snow storm. I found her the next morning shivering with frozen ice tangled in her fur. She was so timid but the neighbor's dog helped give her the confidence she needed to let me pick her up. I immediately took her inside and warmed her up and offered her food and water which she happily accepted. She is now fully vetted and loves playing with all the other dogs she is fostered with. She also plays with the cats. She is still shy with us humans but she is very happy when she is petted and loved on. It's just something she's still learning to trust. She is very smart and learned to use the pet door immediately. She is a quiet girl but she does do this little whisper/talk and it is too funny. She definitely has a southern drawl...lol Darlin is a petite girl at about 35 pounds and is estimated to be around 1-2 years old. She is fully vetted and a very healthy girl. She will do best with a family that can be patient with her human trust issues and preferably a home with another dog she can learn from.
This pup has received at least 2 sets of Distemper/Parvo vaccines, 1 Bordetella vaccine. It has been wormed at least twice and has been spayed/neutered. It is currently on Flea/tick prevention and Heartworm prevention. If the pup is over 6 months of age it has also been tested for Heartworms. If the pup tested positive for heartworms, we treat them before they leave for their forever homes. Please email Jennifer at jenniferjmcbride@aol.com for an adoption application or if you have questions about this pup. This pup’s adoption fee is $350 which covers all the vetting mentioned above plus the extra vet visit and Interstate Health Certificate required for the pup to travel and the transport fee charged by the transport company that will transport this adopted pup from the South to his/her forever home in the North. We use a few different transport companies to help accommodate our adopters. Please feel free to check out their websites to familiarize yourself with their meeting locations to see if one company suits you better.
