Meet Choco. Choco is a 5-6 year old male red & White smooth coated Border
Collie. He has had a lot to process since being dumped in a shelter by his
owners. It is unknown as to why Choco was relinquished to the shelter, as
it appears that he was well taken care of by his previous owners. At first,
he was a bit unsure and nervous, but that has all subsided with some TLC.
Choco is has a nice temperament and is quite affectionate.
Choco is well mannered, as he walks well on a leash, knows his basic
commands of sit, stay, and lay down. He also will jump right in a crate for
transport. Choco appears to like traveling in a car and would make a good
travel companion. Choco is socialized with other dogs, and has not had any
issues with any of the males in our foster program. Choco has medium energy
level, so he is not over the top bursting with energy as with some BCs. He
will require some consistent daily exercise, and of course, with all BCs,
mental stimulation as well. He has not been evaluated with cats or small
children. Choco is the type of dog will do anything you ask of him. If you
want to go on a long hike or just lounge around on the couch to snuggle and
watch a move, he would make a perfect loyal canine companion. Choco is
looking to forge a close bond with his new person.
