My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tiny Tidbit, or TT as she’s known in her foster home, is an extremely loving and playful girl whose whole body wiggles when she’s happy, which is often. But that was not always the case.

For the first 4 years of her life, TT lived with an elderly human who, in short order, lost job, home, and car and very reluctantly surrendered TT to the shelter. We don’t think TT had much exposure to other humans or animals or even other locations than the home in which she was raised. Very traumatized and extremely scared, TT huddled in a far corner of her shelter kennel for 5 days before her foster mom brought her home. For the first 3 days in foster care, Tiny didn’t eat and trembled if anyone came near her.

And then she slowly began to trust and regain her confidence. During the 3 weeks she’s been in foster care so far, Tiny has really blossomed. Now, Tiny is a little fireball—she really enjoys mock games of hands chasing her with her human, and she loves her much larger (60 pounds!) doggy foster sister and both respects and is curious about the resident cat. And she has a raggedy stuffed toy she enjoys throwing up in the air and shaking hard. But her most favorite things are burrowing deep under bed linens or a towel (she sleeps curled up against her foster mom’s stomach) and curling up in her foster mom’s lap.

It should be noted that Tiny’s foster mom is not a little dog person, but has fallen head over heels for Tiny (don’t worry—her foster mom won’t keep Tiny because there are more dogs who need fostering!).

Tiny doesn’t bark or yap. At all! She does well outside for several hours with her doggy foster sister. She’s very sensitive to correction, so learns quickly. Her most favorite food in the world is chicken—chicken flavored anything, but real chicken is even better! She’s crate trained and she’s not afraid of thunder and she’s slowly being socialized with other people and new locations.

Tiny Tidbit will need a home with people who are very patient with her initially as goes through the transition of moving into a new place. It would probably be best if she weren’t in a home with very active children or with lots of noise and chaos.

This precious girl has so much love and joy and kisses to give—are YOU her forever human?

All Dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and given a physical by a veterinarian prior to adoption.

Tiny is currently in foster care so, if interested, please email us today!
