Mikan's Story...
Independent Couch Potato

Mikan (pronounced Mee-Khan) is a 12 year old gentleman. He came to us when his owners decided to move without him.

Mikan would be perfect for a senior looking for a senior. He doesn't get along with other cats and has never been around children or dogs. He's very independent so he doesn't need someone chasing him around. He can be very affectionate and will to you for attention when he wants it. He can be quite playful, but when he's napping, he doesn't really like to be disturbed.

Qualifies for our Senior Cat Pension Plan which includes: No adoption donation fee, free annual exam and vaccinations, plus a yearly senior blood-workup analysis for life.

Our cats must be adopted to live indoors only and may NOT be de-clawed. For more information about PAWS or to fill out an application visit: www.pawsct.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mikan, a Norwalk Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
