Lily Bug's Story...
Lily Bug was dumped at an area lake to fend for herself in May 2015. After careful planning and working, she was finally caught and turned into the local shelter to do her stray time. That's when we stepped in to save her. Lily Bug is a sweet, playful young girl between 6 months-1 year old. She can be a little shy when first meeting people but warms up very quickly. She's also shy around other dogs at first too. She's highly trainable and shows great potential to be a wonderful family pet!

Lily Bug's adoption fee is $125 and includes her spay, vaccinations, deworming and microchip. To adopt her please complete an application on our website today: www.shelterfriends.org

**All interested parties need to live within a 500 mile radius of the OKC metro area**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily Bug, a Newcastle German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Newcastle, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Newcastle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newcastle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newcastle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newcastle paves the way for another one to be saved.
