Acer's Story...
Male Neutered Chihuahua
Weight Upon intake 11.6
Approx Birth Year 2007
Acer was surrendered to the Kill Pound by owner - he was kept all alone in a bathroom for 6 months, because owner said he does not like Children or other dogs.
Acer is in the front office area with a Bull Dog and is having no problem – he just needs to know he will not be all alone again and banned from humans and given a chance to prove he can be a very good little boy. He is a bit over-weight and we will control his diet . He wants only treats – we will work on that too.
He IS Potty Broke and will learn that a leash is NOT a bad thing. He will require gentle hands and know he is SAFE - We were able to pick him up – bathe him and trim his nails 10 minutes after he arrived. He is and will be a WONDERFUL PET for that VERY SPECIAL HOME.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Acer, a Port Clinton Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Port Clinton, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Port Clinton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Clinton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Clinton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Clinton paves the way for another one to be saved.
