Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lil' Bear is a true mixed breed puppy. We are told her parents are Rottie/Lab, Boxer/Terrier which means he is a handsome mutt, however he most resembles a Mastiff/Labrador mix! Bear-Bear will be a large dog and he already stands a head taller than his litter-mates.
Lil' Bear goes to the front of the class when it comes to smarts. He was the first to learn sit=treat, and to offer his paw for a "shake" to engage his peeps. He is quiet for a puppy and has a gentle temperament with his siblings. If the girls are rumbling and getting unruly, he gets between them to separate them. He respects the adult dogs, but likes to trot alongside them to explore the world.
He is dewormed, current on vaccines, microchipped and will be neutered in a couple weeks, but we are accepting applications now and he can go with an extra $100 deposit which will be refunded when he is neutered (and we pay for that).

There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.
Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524, or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).
