Shadow's Story...
Welcome 1.5 year old Shadow. She is a 65 pound Black Lab mix. She is active and fun and ready to have an active family to call her own. She would be great for a runner, hiker, camper and backpacker. She is ready to tag along and be a great companion. She was adopted and lost her owner to death. She does hold her potty in the kennel and she has had a home so we believe she may be close to or completely potty trained. She is very smart and wants to please. She is outgoing, friendly to other dogs and new people. She is strong and puppyish so a puppy class would be a great idea. She will do well as she can sit on command and is good on a leash already. She does take direction and is motivated to please. She is currently in Lytle, Texas in a Kill facility hoping someone on the East Coast will spot her. Her adoption fee is 170 and her transportation fee is 185. We arrange the details. Contact me for an application.

Act quickly to adopt Shadow. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Pluckemin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Pluckemin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Pluckemin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pluckemin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pluckemin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pluckemin paves the way for another one to be saved.
