My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Clayton and I'm a 6-month-old Cattle Dog/German Shepherd mix puppy. I weigh about 18 pounds right now, but I have lots of growing to do.

I'm really friendly, super sweet, and as you can see from my photos, I'm adorable too! I love getting pets and cuddles from people, and I get along great with other dogs. I'm just an all-around awesome puppy!

My journey began on the streets of LA, where I spent my days and nights wandering around, looking for food and just trying to survive out there. It wasn't easy for a young guy like me! I thought I was doing alright, but one day animal control picked me up and brought me to a high-kill city shelter, where I was left to sit in a kennel. I was pretty confused and afraid.

Each day, as people walked by my kennel, I hoped and prayed that someone would like me enough to take me home with them. But as each day passed, I became more and more concerned that I would never get out of there. I was losing hope. But then my luck changed! CageFree decided to save my life and brought me to stay at their facility. Now here I am, settling in and waiting patiently while my new friends are working hard to find me a forever home.

I'm a young, active pup, so my ideal family would be active as well. I'd love to go on hikes, to the beach, and play fetch in the yard. It all sounds great to me! So if you think I'd be the perfect addition to your family, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree. I can't wait to meet you!
