ABOUT KERMIT
****The website is updated several times daily. Please do not email to ask if there are still dogs/puppies available.****

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER TO ALL BASIC QUESTIONS BELOW. Please read throughly Before emailing.

*Kermit is a 6 month old Schnauzer type mix. He is nearly full grown and weighs around 25 pounds.

*Due to his unknown genetic background, we will not guarantee that he is not going to shed or be different than any other dog in regards to allergy issues.

*Kermit was born on 1/2/15. His mother was not able to care for him, so he was bottle fed. Kermit is very social with people and other dogs. He has never met a cat or lived with small kids. He walks on a leash and knows a few basic commands. Kermit is crate trained and is house trained at his foster home. Being a young guy, he may have accidents while adjusting to a new home. Kermit loves to run and play in a fenced yard, and home with a physically fenced yard would be ideal.

*Kermit is neutered and current on his vet cares.

*We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Prospective families must come to NORTHFIELD MN to meet. We do not hold adoption events or meet in the Twin Cities*

*Emails are answered in the order they are received. We are receiving a large number of emails, so answering promptly is our goal. If you are interested in adoption, your prompt responses are the best way to get through the adoption screening*

*Paws First does not accept checks or credit cards. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY ADOPTIONS AT ANY POINT IN THE ADOPTION SCREENING PROCESS.*

If you have read this far, you are ready to start the adoption process! Please email for the next step, which is a short email interview to get started.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kermit, a Minneapolis Schnauzer (Standard) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) puppy from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
