Bridget's Story...
Check out Bridget. She is a great find. She is a mid sized dog about 35 pounds or so. Bridget is a very, very, very nice dog. She seems to be a great starter dog for those people who have never had a dog before. She is spayed and heartworm negative. She does walk with a limp due to an old injury. She walks really well on a leash and is very eager to please too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bridget, a Wilmington Retriever (Unknown Type)/Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Basenji for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Basenji dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Basenji breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
