Polly's Story...
Her name is Polly. Her foster family named her Polly Pocket when she first came to our rescue because she was only 1 lb 4 oz and could fit in their pocket. She is now 4 ½ months old and weighs 4.5 lbs. The vet said she should weigh about 8 or 9 lbs full grown. She is definitely a mix with those cute floppy ears. She is one of the most outgoing puppies you will ever meet. She loves dogs of all sizes and anyone who will play with her. She is doing great with potty training and with a little more help will have it down in no time. She is super smart and sweet! If you are interested in meeting Polly, please fill out an application at www.RescueAChi.com and we will set up a time for you to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polly, a San Diego Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
