Hogan's Story...

Hogan is a spectacular-looking adult Bluetick Coonhound.  He was a stray from Jack Rabbit Campground on Lake Chatuge near the Georgia line in Clay County, NC.  At input on 6/13/15, he weighed 51 lbs and was about 3 years old.  Hogan has been neutered and brought up-to-date on his vaccines.   Blueticks are the rarest of hound dogs and this handsome hound is a show dog.  He has a great disposition, is friendly and likes other dogs and people. Hogan will make a wonderful family pet and/or companion dog.  If you are interested in adopting Hogan, please email Davalee Hitchcock at davalee@fastmail.fm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hogan, a Marble Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Marble, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Marble.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marble already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marble breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marble paves the way for another one to be saved.
