This absolutely adorable little guy is Meeko, a beagle/Boston terrier mix that is a little over a year old. Meeko came to us from our Newark facility when he was picked up as a stray, and he is now looking for a safe, loving home with a family that will spoil him silly. Meeko's looks are quite deceiving- he looks like a puppy and he always will since he is small and has the puppy-dog face. He is very outgoing and makes friends so easily. Meeko is a bit barky in his run so if you're interested in him, please ask to see him outside and you'll see that he is quiet, gentle, calm, and well behaved. Meeko walks well on a leash and will sit, stay, and take treats from you very gently. Meeko just loves to romp and roam in our exercise yard, but it seems that no one ever really introduced him to toys since he really doesn't know what to make of them. He will learn soon enough though and is so happy just to be doing anything, as long as it is with someone that gives him some attention and treats him with kindness. Meeko doesn't seem to mind other dogs when he passes them by, so bring yours in to meet him and see how they get along.
