My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kenny was rescued from a kill shelter. He's about 6 years old. You can see from the collage picture what he looked like when we got him and what he looked like when they first shaved off all that horrible matted hair. Poor Kenny couldn't even see through all of it. When we got underneath we found he was so skinny. He tested heartworm positive (he's completed treatment and now CURED!) and we put him into a loving foster home to get him all healthy and spruced up so we could adopt him. His foster mom says if he wasn't our rescue dog she would be a foster failure and keep him! He gets along great with cats and small dogs and good with larger female dogs. He doesn't seem to like larger male dogs. He wants to eat them (haha) - its a "male poodle thing" . He walks great on a leash, he's crate trained and loves to ride in the car! He likes being carried and knows the commands "sit" and "stand" . He would be great in an apartment or a house. He loves to run and play! Kenny is a great guy and we know he'll make someone a wonderful companion. Please apply!
