My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zane
4 mos old (DOB 2/22/15)
Utd on vacc
Neutered
Microchipped
Utd on HW prevention
Breed: attention hound
Zane and his 3 siblings were owner surrenders to the rescue. The puppies were sick and the owner could not afford vet care. The puppies were diagnosed with PARVO and despite all efforts, all of them passed away leaving Zane the sole survivor. Despite losing his whole family and having an EXTREMELY rough start at life, Zane is a tough cookie!! He's a happy-go-lucky spazz. Lol. He has a long body with short, stubby legs( that looks like he could almost have some basset hound in him). He's got the beagle face shape and bark along with some lab features. He's hilarious to watch as his constant excitement causes his body to surpasses his stubby legs causing him to completely wipeout. He gets back up, tail wagging, barks, as if to say he meant to do that, and takes off running again. He's a spastic, energetic, playful little boy. He loves mudholes, dirt hills, and swimming. He needs more work on house and crate training but he's getting there. He thinks kids are the greatest things ever....cats are aliens from another planet.....and a game of chase is the most awesome past time. Toys are a must for this little guy as he needs to keep his chewing habits to his toys and not furniture or your shoes. Puppies are cute, but they are like children, they require patience and guidance. They don't do good in crates for more than a couple of hours at a time bc their bladders are small and their energy levels are high. He needs a home with an active family and someone who is home a good bit of the time.
