found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
We first met her when we were at Memphis Animal Services (MAS) looking around for who we could help. We walked into the puppy room and stood in front of the first kennel. We looked in and saw Blythe and her brother and sister all piled up and sleeping in the back. The puppies heard us and all opened their eyes to see who was there. Blythe's brother and sister stayed in the back of the kennel, afraid to visit. Fear is totally understandable, being a motherless puppy in a shelter is a scary thing. But what Blythe did just showed her sweet, trusting spirit. As her brother and sister tried to hide, she walked up, tail wagging as if to say, "Oh good, you're finally here!"
We got her out of the kennel and that's when we noticed that she was missing a foot. We knew we were going to bring her into our rescue, but after seeing she was missing her foot, we knew that there was now an urgency to adopt. MAS is a very high kill shelter and after the kennel tech saw Blythe's missing foot, we knew there was a big target on her. So we took her and her paperwork and immediately adopted her, and we are so proud to have her.
We have gotten two opinions and a few X-rays to determine the best course of action for her foot/leg. We are happy to report that
she is doing great, getting around and the vet has told us she can live a perfectly normal life, just as she is, a perfectly adorable 3 pawed pup. She gets around like a champ and has no idea she is any different from other dogs. We know the perfect family is out there for her and we can't wait to find you and for you to meet this amazing girl.
Blythe's adoption fee is $425 and includes her vaccinations, spay surgery, microchip, health certificate and transportation from Memphis to your area. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an adoption application.
