Perdita's Story...
Hi! My name is Perdita, but my foster mom calls me Perdi for short. I'm about 18 months old and I love to play! I have 3 fur siblings in my foster home. My favorite one likes to meow, we play for hours. My mom says I'm the life of the party, always looking for a good time! When I'm playing with my toys I like to snuggle up and watch movies. 101 Dalmatians is my favorite. I talk to my friends on the movie when we watch. I am really good at going for walks on the leash. I've been learning how to heel, it makes mom proud. I have potty training down as long as you remember to take me outside for breaks. I'm looking for a permanent house since I fall deeply in love with my humans and don't want to be separated ever again! I'm living in Hillsboro right now and I'm excited to meet you! Come meet Perdita at our next Meet and Sniff, Saturday, June 21 from noon - 2pm at Salty's Dog and Cat Shop located at 4039 N Mississippi Ave, Portland, OR 97227. Email us if you are interested in learning more about me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Perdita, a Portland Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
