Max's Story...
Hi! I'm Max! I'm such a happy and silly dog. I'm about a year old, 13 pound Terrier mix, and have quite a bit of energy. I love to run around outside and play with my foster brothers. Once I'm inside though I'm happy to cuddle up next to you and sleep (in some silly position). I'm 98% house trained. What can I say? I'm not perfect, but I 'm working on it! I'm pretty good at being left by myself. I don't need to be kenneled, but I do have a thing for tearing up paper (I'll get better though!). You know what I really love, besides my foster brothers and parents? I love kids! I just think they are so much fun! I play really well with them, especially since I don't have a mean bone in my body! I also get along really well with kitties. My foster kitty is pretty playful, but when he doesn't want to play I leave him alone. Overall I'm just a great dog. I don't shed. I love kids, adults, dogs and kitties. I am just a happy-go-lucky kind of guy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Portland Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
