Danny Boy's Story...
Hi, I'm Danny Boy. I'm a non-shedding, young boy who has lots of love to give. I've had a rough first year and a half so I'm ready to find a home that will keep me safe and love me and my adorable little tail (it was badly broken when I was at the pound, and my rescue people took me to the vet and it had to be 'shortened'). I'm still learning to sit, but I know my name and will come when you call you me, I just hope you are ready for lots of hugs and kisses! I would do best in a home where the kids are at least 12, and I can sometimes be wary of new people, but as soon as you show me that you will be nice to me, we'll become fast friends. I'd enjoy living with dog friends that are close to my size, but I wouldn't mind having you all to myself. Would you like to meet me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Danny Boy, a Portland Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
