Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy is a neutered male cat with short grey and white fur and no tail. He is approximately 7 years old. He has a winning personality and loves affection, but he also loves his freedom. Buddy must go to a home that will let him have an indoor/outdoor lifestyle and has plenty of property for him to explore because he loves to roam. When he is cooped up he is unhappy, and he meows loudly to let you know it. Importantly, Buddy’s new home must be located a minimum of 10 km from Dougan Lake because that is near his previous home. He is very attached to his old stomping ground and while he was in foster care with CCR years ago, he twice absconded and traveled miles back to his property. (Eventually an arrangement was made for someone living there to be his long-term foster carer, but now that person is moving away, so CCR is looking for an adoptive home for the cat.) We don’t want Buddy to hit the road and attempt to travel back to his old property, where there is no one to feed him anymore. Also, we would prefer a home for Buddy that is not located near a highway that he might make a habit of crossing. We may be quite picky about what potential adopters can offer in terms of their property’s size and location, but all offers are very welcome and much appreciated. Adoption subject to a home visit and a donation to Cowichan Cat Rescue.
