Facts about Leo

  • Breed: Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Handsome Leo was adopted out as a puppy several years ago and recently returned to the shelter through no fault of his own. Leo was left alone in a yard and became fearful of new people due to a lack of socialization. He needs a home where he can be a couch potato and receive the love and attention that he has missed out on for too long. Leo would do best in a home with no children and where he can be the only pet in the household. Leo is also part of our Senior-to-Senior program - if you are over the age of 65, Leo's adoption fee is waived and his annual vaccinations are also free of charge! Come meet Leo today!

About St. Tammany Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

Mission: To save the life of every adoptable animal in our community through education, adoption and spay/neuter programs.

Vision: To lay the foundation for a no-kill nation.

-----------------------------------

The St. Tammany Humane Society has been serving St. Tammany parish as the only non-profit, non-governmental animal sheltering and welfare organization for more than 55 years. Our doors opened to the community neglected, abandoned and abused pets in 1953 by Holly Frederick Reynolds in memory of her cocker spaniel, Yankee Doodle Dandy, because she truly wanted to make a difference in the lives of these orphaned companions. Today, the mission is the same, but we have several new programs and services in place to do just this-to give these animals a new leash on life; we just need the support of our community to continue the mission and realize our vision.

We truly would not be here without you!
