PEANUT's Story...
Peanut is a one year old male yorkie chihuahua. He turned 1 in February. He is currently in a foster home with older children, small dogs and cats. He gets along with all of them well. He is bonded with one particular dog in the house and are constantly together, playing and even sleep in the same dog bed. For this reason, we are looking for a home with another small, playful dog. Peanut had a luxating patella that needed surgery. He took a while to recover, but is now completely healed. For this reason, we are looking for a home without young children, we don't want him to be accidently reinjured. Please fill out the online application at folas.org. Peanut is in a foster home and approved applicants can make an appointment to meet him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PEANUT, a Linden Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Linden, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Linden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Linden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Linden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Linden paves the way for another one to be saved.
