Gus's Info...

Gus's Story...
Gus was brought in stray along with another dog and neither were ever reclaimed by their owner. Gus is about 2-3 years old. He seems to be a quiet and mild mannered boy. He came to us terribly matted and he has now been groomed by R Pets in Piqua and he's looking like a different dog these days! Now that he's all cleaned up and shaved down, Gus is prancing all around to show everyone how handsome he is! Gus is a sweet and friendly boy. Stop in and meet this boy today and see if he would be a good fit for your family.

*The last two photos shown are what Gus looked like when he came to us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gus, a Troy Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Troy, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
