Han's Story...
Friendly and affectionate creamsicle cutie!

Friends for Life rescued Han and his sweet brothers when their owners could no longer care for them. He is a majestic hunk of a cat with gorgeous stripes of orange and cream on his coat and in his eyes. Han is a bighearted, affectionate softie who is a friend to everyone he meets. Sometimes he likes to walk the grounds of his home and make sure everyone knows he is in charge and the boss. He can't keep up the pretense for long though because he is a big ol' snuggle bug who likes to curl up with you wherever you are. This gentle giant will bring a ray of orange sunshine to your life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Han, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
