Bruce's Story...
This adorable pair of brown tabby and white kitties comes from a rural shelter in beautiful West Virginia to try a new life in the city.

They are very active and playful, and will compete with each other for human attention, for toys, and for any petting hands that may be available. They are very affectionate and LOVE attention – and will let you know they want it by meowing and gently pawing at you.

Bruce has a cute little pink nose! He can be very vocal and at first glance you may think he is a little monkey climbing on things (or his brother Wayne) to get your attention. However, as soon as he is held and petted he will start purring and will show you what a sweet kitty boy he is!

Wayne has a couple of adorable black spots on his nose. He is very curious and will open his big eyes, scanning any new surroundings and planning how he can best explore them! Once you have him in your lap, he may decide to start exploring right away!

Come and meet Bruce and Wayne, they’d love to make your home their new Batcave!

Bruce and Wayne were born in March 2015. They have been neutered, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, are up to date on all their shots and have been micro chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruce, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
