Achilles's Story...
Achilles is a laid back Dane. His love of the couch is more important than outside, although he does get bursts of energy which require his play time to be outside. He loves all animals he is fascinated by them however not all of them love him. He is a oversized Dane, weighing 180 lbs. He loves kids and is very gentle with them. Unfortunately he thinks he is a lap dog which is difficult for him to understand. He is a big goof with a lot of love to spread.

Achilles is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is house broken. He has sensitive stomach, so he needs to be on a special diet.

If interested in giving Achilles a new loving home, please fill out the adoption application on our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Achilles, a Austin Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Austin, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
