My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cameron is one of those mixes that is not only exceptionally cute.. but has the special outgoing and fun personality of the Yorkie (as well as those awesome ears!) and the softness and cuddly cuteness of the Maltese. Cameron is also so smart and entertaining that we find him irresistible! Cameron, at about 18 - 24 months old and 10 lbs, immediately makes it clear that his favorite moments are spent with his family...that can include kind humans and gentle dogs. Dog friends are great for Cameron and so fun to play with and then to just hang out in the sunshine together.

Since Cameron is just beginning the prime of his life at just over 1.5 (or so) years old , he's past the tendency to be destructive with any possessions in the home (although he'll happily chew on socks) yet has all the energy in the world for learning. The world is a blank slate for Cameron...he's always open to learning new skills and is so happy when he pleases those that he loves. It would be great to expose Cameron to many situations to help his already great social skills get better and better. This can include walking, hiking or a trip to the park for a picnic and playing. Cameron doesn't know any enemies - he's so easygoing and polite and pleasant. He makes you realize that no matter your background...in his case a high-kill shelter pending euthanasia...you can always rally with a positive attitude. Cameron has that and more. He's just a joy! Cameron also enjoys those loving moments for a cuddle and a belly rub...he never had much of that in his past. You can see the love in his eyes and his gratitude for the opportunity to feel special and deserving of the exciting new life lying in front of him.
Cameron's Texas foster mom had the following to say about her great guy:
Cameron is sooooo sweet! He's super- friendly and actually pretty perfect around my kids (10 and 15), other dogs (he loves them and is very sweet and appropriate) and my husband. He's the most loving pup - after he gets over initial shyness due to all the changes in his life. Cameron gives kisses, hugs and looks deeply into your eyes as if to let you know he loves you more than anything! He cuddles right down on the bed every night - I'm actually shocked that my husband is great with it. He loves Cameron..I caught him this morning giving him kisses on his nose.
Cameron is gaining some healthy weight. I've been giving him very high-quality food with vegetables, yogurt and premium treats - as a result his coat couldn't be shinier! We're also working on Cameron's getting used to the routine of a home schedule. He's doing better and better each day and will be just the greatest house dog and best friend. It's time in this very sweet guy's life to have a forever home and family where he feels confident that he won't be moving on. It appears that someone did work a bit on Cameron's leash skills - he's doing well and is overjoyed with every walk and outing. Whoever adopts Cam is getting an adorable gem! I've fostered many, many dogs but few as sweet, kind, fun-loving and overall as cuddly as Cameron.

Cameron is a non-shedding dog and will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his coat healthy, shiny/cottony-soft and matt-free.

Cameron is being fostered in Denver. Meet and Greets are being set up and applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/.
