Sassafras's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sassafras's Story...
Sassafras had her babies underneath a house, as she wandered the streets of Shelby, NC. The owner of the house contacted me and asked me to help her place this girl and her pups. Me, being a beagle-lover, readily agreed. So, nothing more from her past is known. However, she is approx 3-4 years old, spayed and up to date on all her vax, is micro-chipped, and healthy and ready for her forever after to begin. Sassy is looking for someone who will include her in their daily life's activities....she loves the outdoors, but would prefer to stay inside at night, with her people. A doggie door would be splendid, but a fenced-in area is essential. Sassy will not try to escape the perimeter, as long as she has enough space to explore, and occupy her nose. For more information on Sassafras, please contact her rescueperson at: or by calling: 828-245-3685.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sassafras, a South Burlington Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in South Burlington, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in South Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
