The adoption fee covers their medical costs associated with the animal, medical and daily care during their foster period and transport.
All animals adopted by our group MUST BE spayed/neutered prior to finalizing the placement.

Sometimes, for reasons beyond anyone's control, the adoption does not work out.
In this case, the animal must be returned to Howlin4Spirit CARes at the adopter's expense, via Howlin4Spirit on the 1st weekend of each month, OR via 'bonded Wagging Dogs' Pet Transport Service at #704-451-9954, if time frame does not match adopter's need to return animal to H4S CARes during H4S's transport timeframe(April&October).

Adoption contributions are not refundable, for any reason.

By signing this application, I attest to the fact that I am 25 years of age or older, & that the above information provided is correct and that you understand any future medical costs are

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wyatt, a South Burlington Shih Tzu/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua for sale in South Burlington, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in South Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Chihuahua breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
