Radar's Story...
July 5th, 2009: Radar and his brother, Scooter, were rescued as they were heading to the local high-kill Animal Control facility. Thankfully, a 'Good Sam' intercepted them and then contacted H4S. There is no shelter for 'adoptables' in Rutherford County, NC. These 2 little guys are Feists and are very smart and will be easy to housebreak. They are healthy & happy little guys who LOVE their people, and one another. It would be a sweet day if they could go together, but they will adjust if that doesn't work out for their adoptive family(ies). They get along great with other dogs, kids and cats. They were born ~April 6th, 2009. Radar weighs in at 12lbs. He will most likely weigh ~25lbs as an adult. Radar is neutered, microchipped, current on all vax, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Their adoption fee is $125. To apply to adopt Radar, please copy, paste into new email a completed application (see below): -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Howlin4Spirit Companion Animal Rescue** **Adoption Application** We realize, in a logical perspective, that we are not going to be able to broadly change the World. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Radar, a Portland Feist dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Feist for sale in Portland, or seeking a Feist dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Feist breeders who help with Feist rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
