Bonnie's Story...
Bonnie is approx. 2-3yrs old. She was rescued from a high-kill Animal Control facility. She was an 'owner relinquished' dog who was taken to Animal Control because 'she doesn't hunt'. Poor Bonnie has had some rough handling, but in foster care, she is learning that human hands can be gentle, as well. She is coming around nicely. She enjoys a large fenced-in yard, where she can explore and adventure between scents. Bonnie asked me to find her a home where she is considered 'family', and NOT 'just a dumb dog who can't hunt'....where she will live indoors, protected and respected, and be an intregal part of a family who loves her back and includes her in their daily lives. Bonnie has much unconditional love to share with the right person/family. She would do well with older children. For more information on sweet Bonnie, please contact her rescuer at: or by calling 828-245-3685.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a Oswego Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Oswego, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Oswego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oswego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oswego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oswego paves the way for another one to be saved.
