Lilith's Story...
Lilith was rescued from a high-kill Animal Control facility. She is ~8years old, and was dumped there when her past owners decided that she was too old to produce any more puppies, for them to profit from. With TLC, good food, getting fully-vetted(spayed, up to date on all vax, dewormed with Drontal, heartworm prevention, & some bad teeth pulled), a warm bed, and a happy, caring environment, this girl has bounced back to be the exuberant sprite she was meant to be. She gets along well with other dogs, big and small(but, for her safety, I would prefer that she be with the smaller versions), walks well on-leash, and has LOTS of kisses to share with her forever mom(or effeminate male). I believe that this would be the best situation for Lilith. She will need a fenced-in yard, for exercising in, and a warm indoor environment, for the rest of the day and night. Lilith loves to be with her people, and share experiences indoors and outdoors. She rides well and would appreciate a home situation where her person will include her in their daily activities. She is crate-trained. For more information on Lilith, please contact her rescuer at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilith, a Oswego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Oswego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Oswego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oswego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oswego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oswego paves the way for another one to be saved.
