Quixote's Story...
Quixote was rescued from a hig-kill Animal Control facility in western NC. He is in great health, and will be neutered on Feb 15th. He weighs in around 16lbs, and will be ready to leave my care on Feb 19th. Quixote is a people-dog. He gets along OK with smaller dogs, but is aggressive with large dogs, who are on the other side of the fence(of course!). Otherwise, he is a SWEET little spirit with many, many years of unconditional love and companionship to share with his considerate and attentive best friend. He would be best with a single person or a quiet couple who have the time and respect for a little guy such as Quixote. Quixote just wants to be with his people, and not in a doglot to be left for hours and hours. He would not fare well, if this were the normal lifestyle of his people. He has just enough independence to be left alone for a couple of hours, but he prefers to be with his people. He is crate-trained, and ready for his person to open up their heart, their home, and their life to him. For more information, please contact his rescuer at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Quixote, a Oswego Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua for sale in Oswego, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Oswego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oswego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oswego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oswego paves the way for another one to be saved.
