~ABOUT ME~

Hello, I'm Churro! I would love to snuggle you seated or sleeping. I am the cuddliest dachshund around. I used to be in a hoarder situation with lots of other dogs. Rawhides and toys thrill me, but not nearly as much as walking with you outside or spending time in your lap. On playdates with other pups I have been very friendly, and really enjoyed myself. I rarely if ever bark, making me the ideal dog for a home that needs quiet. The blender, dishwasher, vacuum and garbage disposal have no effect on me (I sleep right through them). My foster family loves me, but I'm searching for my furever home. Wanna snuggle?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Churro, a Garden City Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
