Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello There! My name is Clarence. I am the cutest little pocket mouse around. I LOVE to be held and snuggled and loved and kissed! And held and snuggled and loved and kissed some more! I am a tiny boy at around 9 pounds and have a wonderful reddish brown coat, nose, and eyes. My favorite place in the world is right by your side, in your arms, or pushed into your neck-I even know how to give hugs! I think if I were a cat, I would purr to show how much I love being with my person. When the humans are not around I LOVE to play with my IG fur-siblings. I am always up for a little play wrestling followed by a snuggly snooze together on the sofa or in one of the dog beds.
I am 6 years old, get along well with cats and other small breed dogs, and would do best in a house with no or older children as I am a bit of a DRAMA king! I squeal if someone picks me up with too much of a squeeze...drama, drama, drama! I have learned to rest quietly in my crate while all the foster family is away from the house, and I sleep in a confined area with my foster siblings at night, but I would LOVE to be right up in the middle of the bed with you. Potty skills are pretty consistent, although I do still have an occasional accident. I do best when on a predictable potty outing routine or when allowed to use a well supervised dog door to let myself in and out-that way I can also enjoy a little sunbathing before heading back indoors.
I do well with both men and women, and would very much enjoy someone that is home most of the time. That is important also because I have a history of seizures. They were really bad when I came into Rescue, but now that I am on medicine (an inexpensive pill twice a day) I go many months without one-wheww, that is such a relief!
My foster mom says that I have really nice manners-I do not beg at the table, try to snatch food off your plate, or dig in the trash. I walk nicely on a leash and very much enjoy getting a little extra exercise that way. I am sometimes a little shy when meeting new people, but I warm up fairly quickly. I would also very much like to have a canine companion that is comparable in size and age. I LOVE to shower the other IGs in my foster home with tons of affection-I am an A#1 groomer, so you can bet that no one living with me will have a dirty face or dirty ears as long as I am around!
I am fully vetted and ready to meet my forever family. Could that be you?
