About Me:
Howdy everybody! You probably recognize me as one of the dachshunds that my POET family rescued from a dog hoarder. I used to be very sad crated all day, and with little time to play. Things have changed though now!
My two favorite things in the world are snuggling with my foster mom, and rolling around in the grass (the first time I ever felt grass was when I was saved…it is glorious to sniff and feel so nice in my toes!). I have a couple of my doxie friends in my foster home with me, but I also have some new foster siblings as well. Two of them are big labs…once I got used to them being so much bigger than me, I realized it is just more dogs to play with! I have seen a couple kids, and do not mind when they pet me, but us doxies are pretty fragile, so I would be better in a home that has older kids who understand that you need to be gentle with us. I am pretty good in the crate, and only bark when Biscotti gets going, or when my foster family comes home from work because I am just so excited to see them again! I am working on housebreaking, and do go potty outside, but I still have accidents inside. I am not used to going outside, so please be patient and do not hold it against me.
