My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dean is a standard sized beagle boy at 15 inches and weighing 30 pounds. He just turned a year old in August, so is fully grown. His family wasn’t fully prepared for life with beagle puppies, so they asked us to find a new home for Dean.

Dean is housebroken with the use of a dog door and only a rare accident. He is still enough of a puppy to enjoy chewing on treasures that he finds. He will need to be kenneled when home alone. He is well behaved enough to sleep through the night without getting into trouble. When kept busy with canine buddies, his need for getting into trouble disappears!

He loves playing with his foster siblings and has an easy going manner with all of them. He has always had other dogs around and will do best in a home with another canine buddy to play with. He is a typical young male when it comes to walking on a leash. Dean would benefit from puppy classes with his new family!

This sweet and loving boy is very good with children. Dean enjoys the close contact from people and deserves to find a family that will return that love to him. To adopt Dean or any of our other fantastic beagles, please go to www.HoustonBeagleRescue.org and complete our online adoption application, then someone will contact you about the beagles! The beagles are living in foster homes, and we hold a monthly "meet and greet" once a month at various locations which are listed on our website.
