The very companionable Snickers is an ideal pupster for anyone looking for a dog to engage with! He has an exceptional amount to offer as an athletic dog who LOVES the ball and has a brilliant mind, but he doesn't make you pay for it with uncontained energy. With that said, if you had interest in pursuing a dog sport such as agility or flyball, he would be a wonderful candidate....he is a masterful athlete and very easily motivated. This is an exceptionally fun dog!
Snickers is a massive love bug who likes lots of attention and wants to meet everyone he sees on the street....even if they are a half block away, lol! Ultra friendly and social. He likes to give hugs and kisses alike!
Snickers had some breakdown in his family and he craves normalcy and stability. He is fantastic with kids and will play in the yard with them all day, but we recommend him for a couple or single person, as he can be misread things and be protective of children due to past experiences. Due to the hardships in his life, his temperament is slightly nervous at times, but he is not a complicated dog - if you understand dog body language, he is an excellent communicator.
He would be happier as an only dog; he was raised with another dog but due to conflicts with the other house dog he can be mistrustful of other dogs. He is happy to see them and quite curious, but gets suspicious if they act too forwardly towards him. This is something that will lessen with good exposure as his social center is very high and his basic character is very play oriented.
Snickers has an exceptionally keen intelligence intelligent and is a very rapid learner. If you are into clickers, he would be a sensational worker, as he loves to have his mind occupied and truly is limitless in his potential.
