Georgia Belle's Story...
Georgia Belle is a black, 6 year old female cocker spaniel that weighs around 20 to 21 pounds. She became homeless after her elderly owners both became very ill and unfortunately one of them died and the other one had to be moved into a secure care facility. According to her foster mom, Georgia Belle has adjusted very well and is as sweet as can be. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm negative, She is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain her good health. She has a cataract in one eye and according to her medical records that were surrendered with her, she is blind in that eye but no reason was given. If you would like to adopt Georgia Belle, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here.
We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not meet he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
