July 2016 - Professional Trainer Evaluation
Buster is a playful and respectful guy. He has wonderful communication signals with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He is outgoing and enjoys meeting new friends. He enjoys rough housing but also enjoys chasing. He played with dogs of different sizes and adjusted his play well. He really enjoyed running with one of the owners at the dog park so I believe he would be a great running buddy. His leash skills were decent getting in and out of the dog park. He does need more work on responding off leash to common commands but did well with verbal interruptions when he was being bothersome. I believe that Buster could be in a home with any size dog that is respectful and playful. He would also be a good addition to a dog that is older, and not as playful, as I think he would help them stay young in a respectful way. Buster could get himself into trouble if a large group of dogs were playing as his energy level can be high. However, if taught a proper interruption command his behavior could be controlled and he could easily learn to play nicer when overly aroused. Buster is super sweet and loves love. He would do great as a single dog, with proper socialization on a regular basis. He would also do great with siblings.

What is more endearing than the look in Buster’s gleaming eyes? You can read all of his loving gentleness there. Seized by MACC due to his previous owner’s severe neglect, this beautiful bully is all about forgiving and living. A happy 2-year-old, busy Buster loves to run, play with toys, and go for rides in the car. But what he truly adores is attention! He likes when you rub under his arm, and will kick his hind legs blissfully if you hit the right spot. A well-mannered mister, he knows sit, wait, and down, and he and his foster family have started a training class to work on his leash skills and his interaction with other dogs. For Buster to thrive, he needs a home where he’s the only pet, and an experienced adopter to continue his training and provide him with the love he needs and will more than gladly return.
