My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful girl was rescued from the shelter. She looks like a collie mix, maybe with a sheepdog. Madison is approx 3-4 yrs old. She has a beautiful coat once it grows back again. She is a really sweet dog, very mellow and laid back, gets along with dogs and cats, seems to be house trained and does well on leash per the shelter. After shaving her matted coat down, she now weighs 99lbs and could do with losing 10 to 15 lbs. She will need a yard to stretch her legs.
If you live in MA, there are new requirements for rescue dogs - according to the State Law, all rescues have to be quarantined for 48 hrs at the Ben Elder Kennels in Westport, MA. There is additional cost for this quarantine and new required health cert by a licensed MA vet of $110. We will go over all fees with you via email. Also, The state of MA does not allow adoptions of dogs that are heart worm positive. We are required to do a foster to adopt until the dog tests heart worm negative, usually in 4-6 months after treatment.
