FRANKLIN

1-3 year old neutered male

Hi, my name is Franklin; I am a 1-3 year old neutered male Golden Retriever/mix. I have a very sweet, gentle & very loving personality. I had a rough time socializing with my family and their other dog Riley at first because I was defensive and very skittish. I am still very shy around strangers; I will bark and sometimes back away or not let them come near me. I do wonderful with cats and especially enjoy getting hugs and kisses from children.

I do very well in car rides and enjoy a long walk. I don’t tend to play with other dogs very much but I do enjoy playing fetch. I love when my foster family shows me attention and plays with me. I am scared of the ocean water but love to walk the beach. I do very well when left alone in the house but I will sometimes sneak up on the couch to take a nap when you are not looking.

I just finished my second treatment for Stage 1 heart worm treatment. The doctor says that everything looks great and I will just require a follow up test in 4 months.

I am looking for the perfect family that is going to be patient and gentle with me. Who will show me attention, spend quality time with me and love me unconditionally. I promise I will be an amazing addition to your family!!
