My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a wonderful dog that will also turn heads, then Pawley is your boy. He is a 65 lb, 18 month old, extremely handsome guy who has the face of a St. Bernard and a very short, beautiful brindle mix coat. He is tall and slender; truly a unique dog! Poor Pawley somehow found himself in a crowded kill shelter in a rural TN town and was about to be put down because the only worker at the shelter was going on vacation and there would be no one available to take care of the animals. Fortunately for Pawley, and the other animals at the shelter, Critter Cavalry came to the rescue and took care of them. Pawley is so happy to be out of that place and is looking forward to finding his forever home. Like some large breeds, Pawley can be a leaner, wanting to be close to his humans. He is a sweetheart and everyone who meets him is drawn to him first because of his unique looks but then for his calm and loving demeanor. Pawley gets along great with the other dogs at his foster home, his best friends being a Pit Bull puppy just half his size named Noemi (who was rescued at the same time). They like to lounge on the deck together, wrestle over a toy and cuddled up against each other to nap. Pawley also likes to explore the big back yard. This guy may make a good hiking or jogging companion for someone (with a little bit of practice). Pawley is a gentle soul and would most likely do well in many situations; as a family dog or in a home with other dogs. Wouldn't you like to make Pawley the big sweetheart in your life?
