Panda's Story...
I’m a cute older gent named Panda. No, I’m not a bear, I’m a cat – even I, with my old man eyesight, can see that! My black with white coat inspired my name, to be sure, but my cuddly as a bear disposition is such that a name like Panda is rather apt. I certainly love to receive pets, snuggles, and lots of cuddles. I’m very much a gentle fellow, not loud or boisterous like a young cub. An older fellow like me would make a wonderful quiet companion. Maybe an older person would like some constant companionship in the form of a gentle cat like me. Or perhaps a family is interested in a nice older cat, a cat who is far more eager to keep the couch warm than to climb the curtains. I dare suggest that I could be just that cat! Although I’m quiet, I do seek out affection – if the FOHA volunteers are sitting on the floor with us cats, I am sure to come over to offer my greetings and accept a generous helping of pets. I sure would love to find a home where those generous helpings are doled out numerous times a day!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Panda, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
