My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greetings everyone, my name is Sissy and I'm a sweet older gal looking for the purr-fect home. If you are looking for a quiet companion, but one who still has some play and sass left in her, than that's me! I love relaxing with my people and getting attention. When my people are busy, I enjoy sunbathing in the window. I'm also playful and fun and enjoy chasing toys, especially that darn little red dot! Unfortunately, my previous humans abandoned me. They didn't even tell me why, but I found a wonderful person to foster me, until my new forever family takes me home. Like I said earlier, I am a bit older, around 12 years old now. But that does have its perks! I'm super easy and well behaved. I know how to use my litterbox and I wont keep you up at night like a crazy kitten will! I do need to take my thyroid medication twice a day, but that's easy- just put it in my wet food and I eat it right up! I am also front declawed. It wasn't my choice, but I don't let that stop me! I'm a loving, friendly and sweetheart cat who is going to make someone very happy. Adoption fee: $60. Adopt a pair: $90. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 60 days of free pet insurance.

Adoption and Foster Care Application

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
