Gretchen~adopted's Story...
Gretchen is here! She's a short little girl and weighs 13.4 lbs on the vet's scale as of 1/15. Based on her body shape and coloring, we think she is a dachshund/miniature schnauzer mixed with a wire-haired terrier.

Gretchen is a sweet girl and so far we haven't heard her bark. She is affectionate but not overly needy, a pretty low key girl. She is an older girl, our vet guesstimates her age at 7-8, possibly older. We showed her some cats at our vet's office today and she didn't seem to have any interest in them. she is just a nice, gentle companion. Please submit an application if you'd like to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gretchen~adopted, a Blakeslee Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund for sale in Blakeslee, or seeking a Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Blakeslee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Blakeslee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Blakeslee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund breeders who help with Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Blakeslee paves the way for another one to be saved.
