Loki Dan's Story...
Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Loki Dan, a one year old long haired Dachshund boy. Although I’m only 11 pounds, I have a heart as big as the sky. I came from a hoarding situation and still need lots of socialization but I’m sincere about learning and catch on fast. I am chipped and neutered and know how to sit on command. I’m getting better at the other commands as well as leash walking and crate training. I’m fine with human kids over ten, other dogs and even cats. I would like a fenced yard to help keep me close to my new forever parents. In my spare time, I like to just hang out with people and other doggies. My foster parents call me “sweet and loving” and I want to be your new BFF. My adoption fee is $200 and I'm fully vetted. Please email rescueofhope@gmail.com for an application today! Sincerely, Loki Dan.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loki Dan, a Grand Rapids Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
