Gretchen's Story...
Miss Gretchen was dropped off after having her puppy babies. She was such a good momma but now needs a new loving home where she can be the puppy. Gretchen LOVES LOVES LOVES KIDS, but shouldn't go to a home with cats or small dogs. She would do best with a large male as a big brother. Gretchen is only 2 yrs old. Please email us at saintsrgreat6@yahoo.com for more information on this guy. Also, can you please make sure you give us your location and phone number so we can get ahold of you more quickly. Thank you so much for wanting to saving a needy saint bernard.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gretchen, a Pittsburgh St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
