My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Listed as a terrier mix at the shelter, we think sweet little Ivy looks like an Australian terrier mix. On 6/8/15 she weighed 5.7 pounds and was listed as 8 weeks old. Ivy seemed to think the shelter was a very scary place and the snuggle she gave her foster mom when she scooped Ivy up melted her foster mom’s heart. Now in a loving environment, Ivy has blossomed into the self confident little girl you see in the first three pictures. The 4th picture is one taken of her at the shelter. Ivy is up to date on vaccinations. If she is adopted prior to reaching 6 months of age, the adopter will be responsible for having her spayed and must provide proof of spay. Ivy gets along well with other dogs, loves attention and loves playing outside. If you would like to adopt this little jewel, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application.
You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.

After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not meet he/she will be adopted to that home.

Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
